Item # 13220

Circa 1910

45” high, 28” deep and 36” long

This is a Scottish Art & Crafts movement Oak settee that was once part of a fumior. It is from the smoking room of a grand estate in Northern Scotland. The surrounding cabinet portions have been sold as display for a clients den. Only the settee remains.

The settee has been recovered in the 1990’s with a black nubby floral on a black background. The edges of the fabric are finished with nail heads. The piece measures 45” high, 28” wide and 36” long. This was thought to be the ideal size to fit two men sitting back having a cigar after dinner. It is in very good condition and fits nicely in nook or other small space where just a settee, a floor lamp and a painting will do.

The condition is very good and it does not have any lingering smell of smoke after all these years of being in a smoke free environment.

Shipping will need to be arranged by the buyer at their own expense. The piece can be picked up by appointment from our warehouse in Rohnert Park, California. That is seventy miles north of San Francisco in beautiful Sonoma County.

Payment may be made by Paypal to karyn@nightingaleantiques.com.

Please prepay before making shipping arrangements for pick up.
